Climate Stewardship Summit

What are the moral implications of climate change, and how do they relate to faith communities’ traditional moral and spiritual concerns?
Why are some people of faith reluctant to address climate change, and how can this reluctance be overcome?
How can people of faith work together to address this rapidly emerging crisis?
This daylong event, held at Asylum Hill Congregational Church (814 Asylum Ave., Hartford, CT), is designed for Connecticut religious and lay leaders of all spiritual traditions. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Mary Evelyn Tucker, Yale University, Divinity School and School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. Cost is based on a sliding scale from $10 to $50. Suggested: $30 (covers breakfast, lunch, materials)
Speakers, diverse panels and breakout sessions will address climate change from a variety of perspectives. They will present spiritual responses to climate change and explore the theological ground for this work. The summit will also provide practical information on topics such as energy efficiency, renewable technologies, green jobs and policy initiatives.
