Join us as the Rev. Donna Schaper takes a creative approach to what many imagine is a problem — our buildings. This workshop will highlight the green part of congregational real estate by looking at how our architecture, our space uses, our mechanicals and our roofs can contribute to sustainability. What can we do to hasten 21st century forms of energy: the solar, the wind, the digital and the spiritual kinds?
The Rev. Dr. Donna Schaper, formerly at Coral Gables Congregational Church in Miami and before that at Yale University, is Senior Minister for Judson Memorial Church on the corner of Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, New York City. She marked 40 years since ordination in 2014.
$30. Registration includes a full breakfast. The workshop will end at 12:30 p.m.
Note: This workshop will be held in the Budd Interfaith Building at 60 Lorraine St., around the corner from the main Hartford Seminary Building at 77 Sherman St. Parking is in the lot behind 60 Lorraine or in the main Seminary lot.
